Hello Everyone!
Today's post will be a review on Palmer's Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil. I believe I previously stated that I picked this up at my local drugstore and wanted to see if I could use this instead of my expensive Dermalogica PreCleanse Cleansing Oil. I have been using this for a few months now and I feel I am ready to give a thorough review. As always, I will give the company’s descriptions and/or claims of the product, how to use the product, and key ingredients in the product. I will also share the price, and availability of the product. I will finish the review with personal thoughts on the products performance; I generally weigh the pros and cons then I state if I would repurchase it again or not.
With all that said let’s jump into this review!
Company Description/Claims: (Palmer’s website description verbatim)
  • “Gently deep cleanse skin with the power of Pure Cleansing Oils, Cocoa Butter and Vitamin C. Dissolves dirt, oil and make-up and rinses perfectly clean without stripping skin. Purifies complexion for clear, soft and brighter looking skin. Ideal for all skin types.”
How to Use the product:
  • Apply morning and night to dry skin using dry hands. Massage gently into skin. Dampen hands and massage skin to emulsify the product with water. Rinses clean with no residue.
Key Ingredients: (Palmer’s website key ingredients verbatim)
  • Cocoa Butter: a rich natural moisturizer that leaves skin soft and silky, transforming even the roughest, driest areas into buttery soft skin.
  • Vitamin E: a powerful antioxidant that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and imperfections on the skin, giving a more even and toned appearance.
  • Sesame Oil: moisturizes deeply to improve skin's moisture levels leaving it looking more hydrated, firmer and more plump
  • Rosehip Oil: contains essential fatty acids, Vitamin C and Vitamin A to promote healthy skin cell rejuvenation
Price:
  • On Palmer’s website is $9.00 USD
  • I purchased mine at Target for $7.99 USD
Availability:
  • Palmer’s website says it is available for purchase at the following retailers: (Click the picture of the product for a direct link to Palmer's website)
    • K Mart
    • Walgreens
    • CVS Pharmacy
    • Target
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
  • Easily Accessible
  • Removes all makeup including waterproof and long wear products
  • Hydrating
Cons:
  • Smell is a little weird to me
How many thumbs up or down?
 Two thumbs up!
Final Thoughts:
  • This product is an awesome alternative to my more expensive cleansing oils. It works the same as the others. I am sensitive to ingredients and this product gets the job done with no irritation or dryness. I like that this cleansing oil does not make me any oilier. In addition, I notice the product can be rinsed off cleanly without any residue. I also like that all my makeup comes off all at once, making my skin care routine faster and easier to get through. All in all, I would recommend this to everyone.
