Hello! And welcome back to Nia Imani!

So, I have been trying tons of new stuff as of late and I wanted to share my favorite makeup products of the moment with you all. I am thinking about doing a post with my current favorite makeup look. That would be a complete tutorial with pictures. I hope to put that up within the next week or so. With all that being said lets jump straight into my favorites!
  • Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed In Topaz: I have had this for a while and never really used it. I was watching a Jackie Aina YouTube video and I noticed how beautiful it was on her and I felt like I had to try it. So I obviously did and I am in love. It looks so nice on my skin tone and the powders from Becca are super soft and buttery. This highlighter is not over the top; it is buildable. You can make Becca highlighters subtle or intense.  And if you have texture to you skin these don't apply patchy over the texture. Its awesome! If you have a medium deep skin tone this would make a beautiful highlighter, if you have an olive skin tone this would be a great bronzer.
  • NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Dark Brown: I have been using the jumbo pencil in milk for years, but I recently picked up the dark brown pencil and my gosh I have fallen hard for this. This pencil is creamy, it stays in place, its works great as an eyeliner, and it works perfectly as an eyeshadow base/primer. NYX has tons of colors and the formulas are all the same. I totally recommend these for anyone looking for an inexpensive, versatile cream shadow type product.
  • Lancome LA Base Pro Pore Eraser Instant Pore Minimiser Primer: This is the best primer I have found.  This keeps me matte and poreless like nobody's business. And this primer does not leave the skin feeling sticky, greasy, or heavy like a lot of silicone/dimethicone make the skin feel. I can't say enough good things about this guy.
  • Lancome Grandiose Mascara: This is my new obsession. This mascara curls, lengthens, volumizes, and separates; plus its super black.  It is so hard to find a mascara that does all of those things.  I feel like my lashes look almost false when I where this mascara. I get tons of complaints and I recommend this mascara to literally every client I have. I personally use the water proof version because its super humid where I live right now so I needed to make sure my mascara doesn't run everywhere. However, they do have a regular formula.
  • NYX Tea Tree Balance Skin Elixir: I am not going to lie I don't know what this product is suppose to do exactly but, I like to use it as a pre primer. It sinks in quickly like a serum and it doesn't feel a residue. I find that my makeup last extra long when I use this product.
  • Foundation Combination- Milani Correct and Prefect 2 in 1 Foundation and Maybelline Matte and Poreless Foundation: I love this combo. My skin can get really oily on the forehead and nose and this combo stays matte for at least two to three hours longer  than usual. I find that this combo last all day and doesn't appear heavy on the skin. I also find that the matte finish is not dry, flaky looking matte its more of a comfortable looking matte. I am obsessed. I can build this up quickly to a fuller coverage finish but, the initial finish is more of a medium look.
  • Laura Gellar Baked Balance n Brighten Foundation Powder: I have had this in my collection for quite a while now and I didn't completely understand this product. I always felt like the the coverage was way too sheer, but I recently was reintroduced to this product and I am now obsessed. I now use this to normalize and neutralize the look of overly warm foundations while I set them in place.  This powder diffuses the look of any orangey foundation without making me look cakey or heavy. The powder almost melts into the skin. Plus it give a touch of a diffused sheer coverage to my skin. My makeup looks flawless and blended when I use this powder. This is becoming my holy grail face powder.
  • Bare Minerals Blemish Remedy Powder: I usually don't like light coverage routines but, I actually have been loving using this powder with my L.A. Girl Pro BB Cream. This keeps me looking natural and matte, plus it sets my BB Cream in place without adding tons of coverage. The only thing I don't like about this powder is the scent. It smells super weird.
  • Smith's Rosebud Salve: This is an oldie but a goodie. This is just a rose scent petroleum based lip balm. I recently purchased it and it is the only lip balm I have been using.
  • Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Chianti: This is a beautiful deep purple liquid lipstick.  The formula of Stila Liquid Lipsticks is BOMB. They last literally all day without having to reapply (unless you eat a really oily food.)
That's all folks!
